Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and LodgeSelect ("we", "us") regarding your access to and use of our website, mobile-friendly platform, and booking services across the United Kingdom and Nigeria (the "Service").

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract to create an account or make a booking. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. We may suspend or close any account that does not.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@lodgeselect.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Bookings & Payments

A booking is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed by our payment partners — Stripe for UK (GBP) listings and Paystack for Nigerian (NGN) listings. Until payment is confirmed, your dates are held for up to 15 minutes and will be released automatically if payment is not completed.

All prices are shown inclusive of applicable taxes (UK VAT or Nigerian VAT) unless stated otherwise. Service and cleaning fees are itemised at checkout.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Cancellation Policy. Statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Nigerian Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 are not affected.

5. House rules

You agree to respect the property, neighbours, and any house rules listed for each apartment. You are liable for any damage caused during your stay beyond reasonable wear and tear.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to post unlawful content, attempt to gain unauthorised access, scrape data, or interfere with normal operation. We may remove content and terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LodgeSelect's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Governing law

For users in the UK, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. For users in Nigeria, the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria apply, and the courts of Lagos State have exclusive jurisdiction.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
